Today much upheaval as we have moved to London for the exhibition itself. I am staying in a tiny student room that has a smell that takes me back to being a student, the smell of people not managing to organise taking the rubbish out or empty the fridge. The snails have come with me and it is a problem because it is really hot, I hope they do not suffer too much today.
I have not given them any tests today as I have been working on the stand, hopefully tonight I will have some lettuce for them and they will be hungry. Unfortunately I will only be able to test one surface here as I have even less space.
Here is a picture of the snails and some animals that we will have on the stand, some water boatmen and water spiders. These are the reserves and they are staying with me too. I am a bit nervous about this as apparently they can bite and it hurts.
I am supposed to be lying on a bed of nails this afternoon though, to demonstrate how water can float on a rough surface. I think being stabbed by a load of 4 inch nails will probably be more painful than being bitten by a tiny spider, even if the spider does have poison.
