OK/Cancel #3, by Tom Chi and Kevin Cheng

One of the main themes of our stall is how to design the way people will interact with software. We do research on what's happening in people's brains when they use computers, and use those findings to make better design principles. But researchers are only half the story – software companies have interface designers who put those principles to use in real-life software.

On our stall we're talking a lot about the kinds of mistakes people make when using software, but the same errors can happen in real life too.

our finished stall

After months of preparation, look! Our stall exists in the real world. We finished setting it up at the appointed time today and we're ready to receive visitors.

All this week we'll be performing magic tricks, answering questions and explaining just what in the world magic has to do with computer science. Plus we'll be giving away free stuff. Come by and see us.
